In September 2012 the Mission Ashtanga community held a benefit for Yoga Gives Back, a non-profit organization that provides microloans to Indian women. The fundraiser included Mysore practice, kirtan and refreshments.
Mission Ashtanga Retreats
Our retreats offer an inspired weekend of Ashtanga immersion. They include daily Mysore Ashtanga Classes, pranayma, meditation, and yoga nidra. Expect to deepen the Mysore practice while also exploring the more subtle limbs of Ashtanga Yoga through meditation and other experiential yogic practices.

Yoga Nidra Meditation
This ancient practice works at the root of stresses, allowing the release of subconscious tensions and tendencies that inhibit us from living to our full potential. Yoga Nidra takes us far beyond a state of relaxation and leads us to a place of silence and stillness where we drop into a state of deep knowing. As we move through the practice we remain alert and aware through progressive states of relaxation in order to systematically investigate the nature of self-limiting beliefs.
Using sensation, breath, emotion and image as our guides, this practice reveals the inherent intelligence, joy and peace of the True Self. This ancient meditation practice provides a framework for going beyond these limiting beliefs in order to experience the joy and freedom that is our birthright.
